Hi Mike,
It's really not that complicated. Why do you suggest that we need to turn things into a competition to solve the problems in the world when we can just work together to solve them?
Isn't it far wiser to simply make a commitment to work together as a people and positively engage the intelligence of 7+ billion individuals to create a better world for everyone? Didn't we build an International Space Station through the simple choice of international cooperation?
The moment you make a decision to 'work together as a people for the common good of all countries', you're half way to solving the world's problems anyway! You've just put an end to all wars. 'Who is there left to fight, when we're all on the same side?'
You can immediately address climate change without the political or corporate interests of any individual Nation or company trying to blockade common sense ideas. And I could name countless other benefits of simply choosing to work together as a people.
It really is just a simple decision. I would choose to work with my fellow man to create a better world for all of us. What about you?
This is not about idealism. It's about simple intelligence and common sense. Check out this website if you want more information - https://letsgoglobal.info
